Hello friends, as I begin my new adventure as Executive Director of World Christian Fellowship, I thought it would be appropriate to start a new blog to mark my transition. I named this blog “Set the World On Fire” from a song by Britt Nicole that really inspired me as I pondered making the leap into ministry.
I wanna set the world on fire
Until it’s burning bright for You
It’s everything that I desire
Can I be the one You use?
In the spirit of full disclosure, I created this blog today for two reasons. One reason is simply that our WCF website hasn’t been updated in years and frankly, I’m a little embarrassed to direct people to it. I wanted to get my hands on WordPress (I’m still a technogeek, after all) and see how easy or difficult it would be to give our website a quick facelift when the time comes to do so.
The second reason is that for the many friends who are supporting me and my family prayerfully and financially, I wanted to create a place where I could easily update you on what is going on in my ministry and the lives of my family in general. I will incorporate this blog into my updates for those of you who are comfortable viewing updates online.
The advantage of a blog as opposed to a written update is the ease in which you can interact with me through comments and messages online. Of course, I prefer face-to-face talks whenever possible, but in this busy world where friends are often spread over large distances, I realize that can’t always be the case. Feel free to read my blog and write comments at 2am, if that’s the only free time you have! 😉
If you are partnering with me in my ministry, I thank you for also keeping up to date on the work I am doing in the ministry and my prayer requests. Let’s walk this journey together!
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. – Philippians 1:3-5
Looking forward to all that you will have to share!
